Worship Christ the King

Sunday – And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger (Luke 2:6-7). Pray for Emmanuel College to be a delivery room for souls saved by the child in the manger who is lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Monday – . . . the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest" (Luke 2:13-14). Pray for the people of Emmanuel to worship God and honor him with our praise.

Tuesday – . . . the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us" (Luke 2:15). Pray for the people of Emmanuel to move at his command and see what God is doing among us.

Wednesday – And when they came into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshiped him (Matthew 2:11). Pray for the people of Emmanuel to see Jesus - to really see him, to humble ourselves and worship him.

Thursday – And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to him (Matthew 2:11). Pray for our students, staff, and faculty to give him our lives as vessels of worship and service.

Friday – . . . a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel (Luke 2:32). Pray for revelation and revival to come to our campus that all may know the God who is with us.

Saturday – Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life (John 8:12). Pray for the people of Emmanuel College to follow the Light in an ever darkening world.

Proclaiming Christ this Christmas

Sunday – ". . . for he who is mighty has done great things for me . . ." (Luke 1:49). Pray for a view of the future for Emmanuel College that always draws confidence from the great things he has done for us in the past.

Monday – Because of God's tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us . . . (Luke 1:78). Pray for those at Emmanuel who are weary, fearful, or discouraged to find hope in God's mercy and to see God's pathway bathed in his holy light.

Tuesday – Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him . . . (Matthew 1:24). Pray for the leadership of Emmanuel College to follow courageously wherever the Lord leads us. 

Wednesday – . . . and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us" (Matthew 1:23). Pray for the people of Emmanuel College to endure every circumstance and challenge living life with God.

Thursday – And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God . . . (Isaiah 9:6). Pray for the people of Emmanuel College to be faithful in following the counsel of God and to rejoice in his mighty power to save.

Friday – And he will be called . . . Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Pray for Emmanuel College to be sustained by the One who is everlasting and to enjoy the peace of God even in the middle of the storms of life.

Saturday – But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to me the one to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting (Micah 5:2 NKJV). Pray for Emmanuel College, small and insignificant in the eyes of the world, but mighty as one of God's places of transformation and service.

Proclaiming Christ this Christmas

Sunday – In the beginning was the Word . . . (John 1:1). Pray during this Christmas season for the people of Emmanuel College to be quick to share the Jesus story from the manger to the cross to the hearts of all who will receive him.

Monday – The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.(John 1:5). Pray for the preservation of religious freedoms throughout our nation. 

Tuesday – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us . . . (John 1:14). Pray for the students, staff, and faculty of Emmanuel College to commit ourselves to life with God.

Wednesday – ". . . and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly" (Luke 1:17). Pray for those who rebel against the Lord to receive the Word gladly from the people of Emmanuel who share the gospel as never before.

Thursday – Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God." (Luke 1:30). Pray for the people of Emmanuel College to dismiss anxiety and eliminate fear as we trust in the favor of the Lord.

Friday – ". . . and of His kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:33). Pray for Emmanuel College to be a place where the Lord reigns, where his kingdom comes and his will is done.

Saturday – For with God nothing will be impossible (Luke 1:37). Pray for faith rising within us to believe God for things that people say are impossible.

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence . . . they never stop producing fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT)

Sunday – Pray for the employees of Emmanuel College to work together to fulfill God's vision for our future.

Monday – Pray for courage to take a stand for Christ in a wicked and selfish world.

Tuesday – Pray for a way forward that differentiates Emmanuel College as a unique place of faith and learning that attracts students who will be world-changers.

Wednesday – Pray for the leadership of Emmanuel College to be strong and have courage to follow where the Holy Spirits leads.

Thursday – Pray for abundant resources to expand our recruiting and marketing initiatives and to implement the enrollment plan.

Friday – Pray for a significant infusion of funding to strengthen our fundraising initiatives and to implement the advancement plan.

Saturday – Pray for other initiatives and plans, some yet to be developed, that will energize our mission and enable our vision.
