God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus. Whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith. Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. 

Do everything without complaining and arguing. Live as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

[Editor's Note: When I announced my retirement plans, my intention was to serve until the new president was appointed. Unfortunately, I am having health issues that will prevent me from continuing. I informed the board of my need to step down as president effective immediately.  

Regarding my health, it doesn’t appear to be anything too serious, at least I hope and pray that it isn’t. But my doctors are advising me that the stress I’m under is aggravating, if not causing, the conditions from which I suffer. I cannot allow my health to be a distraction in performing my duties nor can I permit my health to continue to deteriorate. 

I am confident that God has great plans for Emmanuel College. We have built a launching pad from which the new president and administration can advance the college to new heights of influence and prosperity. I thank God for your support over the past nine years and know that you will continue your fervent prayers for the college.

Pray for genuine revival on our campus with heartfelt repentance. Pray for the redeemed persons to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the work he has called us to. Come, Holy Spirit.

Pray for God to stir us, to touch our emotions and our minds to see the reality of Jesus' sacrifice, and to answer the question "what shall we do?" with genuine worship and devoted service. Come, Holy Spirit.

Be Saved

Pray for the people of our nation, especially the younger generations, to be saved from the perversion and faithlessness flooding our land. Come, Holy Spirit, and bring revival.

The Promised Holy Spirit

Pray for the promised Holy Spirit to be poured out on our campus today and every day. Come, Holy Spirit.

God Raised Him

But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him. (Acts 2:24 NIV)

Pray for the dead in trespasses and sins on our campus to be raised to new life in Christ, with a new heart and a new spirit within. Come, Holy Spirit.

Pray for eyes to be opened on our campus to see God's plan to redeem mankind through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Pray for the unsaved to be born again. Come, Holy Spirit.

Call Upon the Lord

Pray for the salvation of souls on our campus, for revival that reaches the lost, for Spirit-led conviction of sin, for genuine repentance, for glorious redemption and transformation.  Come, Holy Spirit.

Pour Out Your Spirit

But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams." (Acts 2:16-17 NKJV)

Pray for the Spirit pressing upon our lives, moving us into His will, demonstrating His power, making Emmanuel College a place of proclamation and vision, a place where dreams come true.  Come, Holy Spirit.

Amazed

"We hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God."  So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, "Whatever could this mean?" (Acts 2:11,12 NKJV)

Pray for God to amaze us with his presence and power to do wonders of grace and healing in our midst. May He bring meaning and understanding that shows us how to respond to Him. Come, Holy Spirit.
