Built on Bedrock

Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock. (Matthew 7:24-25 NLT)

• The start of a New Year can be both intimidating and hopeful because we simply do not know all that it holds, but our confidence should be in the Lord regardless of the events yet to unfold.
• Pray we keep encouraging one another, building up our faith and rejoicing in the Lord through every season of our lives together.
• Pray for important meetings today to be successful regarding the composition of the report we are writing for our accreditation agency.

Like a Servant

• God forgive us when we behave in ways not resembling you. Please help us to see with your eyes, speak with your words, and control our emotions as you did when you were a man.

The Lives of Others

• The life God intends is not about our comfort or even our survival, but about living out his purposes for the good of others, especially those who do not know him well.
• Pray we expand our mission to others who need what Christ has to offer, and at the same time, pray we are diligent and resourceful in strengthening our primary responsibilities to educate and develop our students.

Working Together

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? • The love and encouragement of Christ are beyond words, but pray we also show tenderness and compassion to one another, propelling each other forward in common purpose.
• Pray for unity and a will to work together even when we disagree, and pray for our mutual fellowship in the Spirit to hold us together when the work is hard.

Progress

• Because thousands of people have prayed diligently these past two years, Emmanuel College has made miraculous progress - spiritually, numerically, and financially.
• Now is the time to press and intensify our praying, breaking through the barriers that remain and building on the foundation laid. Please pray on.

Press On

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.  (Philippians 3:14 NLT)

§ Picking up Paul's words where we left them yesterday, after putting the past behind us and changing our focus to the future, we must press on.

§ Pray we press on, praying much, preparing well, pursuing tenaciously, loving passionately, giving sacrificially, obeying completely - all through Jesus Christ who is calling us to run this race faithfully.
