The Lord Did It

So David went to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. "The Lord did it!" David exclaimed. "He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!" So he named that place Baal-perazim (which means "the Lord who bursts through"). (2 Samuel 5:20 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • Rejoice in all the Lord has done for Emmanuel College - answers to prayer, miracles, hope, encouragement, faith, provision, and much more.
  • Pray for decisions and actions over the next 12 months because this will be the most critical period yet.
  • Pray for the definitive breakout moment to occur before June of next year, overwhelming Satan and his plans. We will declare, "The Lord did it!"
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

Nothing Can Hinder

"Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder the Lord. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!" (1 Samuel 14:6b NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • Our view is so limited, but God's view is expansive. Pray for vision to see the battle as the Lord sees it.
  • Pray we will not allow the financial obstacles we face to hinder the work of the Lord, but instead, pray we advance against the foe in the strength of the Lord.
  • The battle for Emmanuel College is not over. In some ways, the heart of the struggle is just beginning. Pray for many more prayer warriors to join forces with us as we move into the heat of battle.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

Give Thanks

Our enemies learned that we knew all about their plan and that God had frustrated it. And we went back to the wall and went to work. (Nehemiah 4:15 MSG)

Today's praise topics:
  • Even as the enemy coordinates multiple assaults, God responds to the prayers of his people (many prayers must have been offered in the past few days) and frustrates the enemy with counter attacks at just the right time.
  • Give thanks for God's intervention in a single day last week:
    • Learned that a promised gift will be 7 times larger than originally thought
    • Heard from a dear friend of the College of his commitment to be a part of a special group of supporters
    • Received word from one of our IPHC Conferences regarding support of an ongoing, special project (actually the third Conference to do so in the last three weeks).

Prayer to our God

They put their heads together and decided to fight against Jerusalem and create as much trouble as they could. We countered with prayer to our God and set a round-the-clock guard against them. (Nehemiah 4:8-9 MSG)

Today's prayer topics:
  • One of the enemy's tactics is to coordinate multiple, simultaneous assaults on our position to create confusion and stress, but God is not intimidated by this approach and neither should we.
  • Attack on the left? Then pray to our God. Attack on the right? Pray. From behind or below or above? Pray because it's the best weapon we have.
  • And pray we throw off distractions and focus on guarding our minds and hearts around the clock with the Word of God and the fellowship of believers.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.
