December 26 - January 1

I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you may grow in your knowledge of God.  (Ephesians 1:16-17 NLT)

Please pray for Emmanuel College this week, December 26 - January 1. Thank you for praying. 

Sunday – Pray for spiritual growth across our campus that fuels disciplines of prayer, Bible study, and Christian service.

Monday – Pray for the leadership of Emmanuel College to receive the wisdom of God that enables his vision for our future to be viewed with clarity.

Tuesday – Pray for the people of Emmanuel College to dedicate themselves to expanding the family of God through service and evangelism.

Wednesday – Pray for our students in the upcoming semester which begins next week to be diligent in their studies and exuberant in their walk with the Lord.

Thursday – Pray that we will be persistent in prayer to keep asking for the wisdom and insight we need to advance the mission and ministry of Emmanuel College.

Friday – Pray for students, staff, faculty, administration, board of trustees, alumni, and friends to pray and work together with God-inspired boldness.

Saturday – In this New Year, pray for the fear of the Lord to humble us, for the Word of the Lord to inspire us, for the Spirit of the Lord to enable us.

December 19-25

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger. (Luke 2:7 NKJV)

Please pray for Emmanuel College this week, December 19 - 25. Thank you for praying. 

Sunday – Pray for our students, staff, and faculty to sing praises to God, to be a joyful people, and to be a worshiping community.

Monday – Pray for the people of Emmanuel to be living examples of what happens when the Savior comes, spreading joy, peace, and hope to everyone.

Tuesday – Pray for the people of Emmanuel to open the treasury of their hearts, minds, and souls to present gifts of talents, time, and energy for the glory of God.

Wednesday – Pray for people who cannot be home for Christmas: troops, missionaries, nursing home and assisted living residents, international students. 

Thursday – Pray that Christmas stirs the hearts of the lukewarm and unsaved in ways that prepare them to yield to the Savior in the New Year.

Friday – Pray that our gifts of compassion to those who need our help, whether great or small, are gifts offered to Jesus.

Saturday –  "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11 NKJV). Merry Christmas!

And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2:11 NKJV)

Please pray for Emmanuel College this week, December 12 - 18. Thank you for praying. 

Sunday – Pray for our students to see deeper meaning in Christmas this year. Pray that in giving and receiving gifts, they will see the greatest gift ever given - Jesus.

Monday – As we celebrate Jesus' first coming, pray that we remember his second coming and our responsibility to prepare a people for him.

Tuesday – Pray that those who see the baby in the manger will also see the Christ of Christmas - messiah, redeemer, and friend.

Wednesday – Pray that the lights of Christmas will reveal Jesus, the Light of the World, who dispels darkness and brings new life.

Thursday – Nativity scenes, carols, Christmas plays and programs. Pray that these and other Christmas traditions will lead many to seek and find the Savior.

Friday – Pray that the reds of Christmas point to the blood of Jesus, the only solvent that removes the stain of sin to make us clean.

Saturday – Pray for unbelievers to believe in Jesus this Christmas, especially those among our students, and in our churches and communities, and in our families.

December 5-11

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." (Matthew 1:23 NKJV)

Please pray for Emmanuel College this week, December 5 - 11. Thank you for praying. 

Sunday – Pray for the Gospel to go forth through all the Christmas messages, cards, emails, and programs and through every kind of media in every nation and to all people.

Monday – Pray for the people of Emmanuel College to be more engaged this Christmas season in sharing abundant life through the Gospel - more ministry, more praying, more loving, more serving, more going, more giving.

Tuesday – Pray that we not insist on making the Christmas season stressful when the One whose birthday we honor at Christmas came to bring peace.

Wednesday – Pray for the leadership of Emmanuel College to draw closer to our God who is with us and to follow him with precision and with complete obedience.

Thursday – Pray for God's favor that rests upon Emmanuel College to loose generosity among God's people to advance God's mission through us.

Friday – Pray for our Emmanuel family to have safe travels during the Christmas season. Pray for the New Year to be filled with hope and boundless opportunities.

Saturday – Pray for us to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to teach, nurture, and guide our students and to graduate leaders and workers, generation upon generation.
