Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people. (Psalm 82:4 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Helping those who cannot help themselves is ministry that touches the heart of Jesus for it so represents the primary core value of Christianity - love.

Pray today:

• For the EC Serve team going to Appalachia in a few days, June 3-9.
• For all the last-minute preparations to go smoothly, for all team members to be healthy and rested and prepared to work, for protection as they travel to and from and during their stay.
• For those who will receive this ministry to find help for their daily lives as well as food for their souls, for their hearts and minds to be prepared to receive all God has for them.

PRAY FOR THE TOP FIVE NEEDS OF EMMANUEL COLLEGE

• To successfully achieve reaffirmation of accreditation in June 2018.
• To be accepted into active membership in the NCAA Division II in July 2018.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2018.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.
• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.

• When our efforts are feeble compared to the task, God shows up to enhance and energize our success.

Pray today:

• For resources to complete summer projects to improve facilities, for the fundraising campaign to be successful in raising more than enough money to fund these projects.
• For facilities management staff who will work long hours through the summer to complete the many projects, for their safety and stamina, for wisdom and discernment in repairs and maintenance.
• For more volunteers to signup for EC Mission so that more projects can be completed than planned, for project dates July 15-28 (http://www.ec.edu/ecmission).
