Wait Quietly Before God

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. (Psalm 62:5 NLT)

Today's meditation:
  • Who likes to wait? But wait we must, especially when God is doing what only he can do, and if we can accept it, the wait can be a place of awesome faith and glorious hope. God forgive us for sometimes filling that space with worry and fear.

Pray today and this week:

You Will Answer, O God

I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. (Psalm 17:6 NLT)

Give thanks today:
  • We prayed specifically for enrollment increases, and God has provided us with the largest spring semester enrollment in our history and the first spring semester ever that exceeds the 900 mark. Praise the Lord!

Specific Requests

With all prayer and petition, pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God's people. (Ephesians 6:18 AMP)

Today's meditation:
  • Pray for what we think we need. Do not hesitate to be specific in our requests. If we are off base, the Holy Spirit will correct us, showing us what to pray for, and even if we fail to pay attention to his correction, he will send us what we really need because we also pray "Thy will be done," knowing he is a good Father who gives good gifts to his children.
Give thanks today:

  • We prayed specifically for an extension of an agency's due date, and the extension was granted. Praise the Lord!

Pray today:
  • For the specific challenges listed below as our top five needs, pray for these needs often, persevere in intercessory prayer for God's answer to these needs for Emmanuel College.

Plans

May he grant your heart's desires and make all your plans succeed. (Psalm 20:4 NLT)

Today's meditation:
  • When our plans meld into his plans, when our faith is focused, not in us, but in him, mountains move!
Pray today:
  • For our debt reduction plans to succeed, for Emmanuel College to be released from the constraints of debt and freed to serve God with a larger sphere of influence, with faith and commitment to spread the Gospel through the education and nurture of men and women around the globe.
Day 24 of 31 days of intense prayer and fasting for Emmanuel College. The LIST below will continue to be REVISED (highlighted) in the final half of the month to reflect more specific needs and people to pray for. Please use it as a prayer guide. Be led by the Spirit.

Super Abundantly More

Now to him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super abundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20 AMP)

Today's meditation:
  • Things that are difficult for us are easy for God who is more than capable of providing answers to our prayers, bringing reality to our hopes, and making our dreams come true, but usually through his power working within us.
Pray today:
  • For an important meeting today with key supporters of the College who are helping with the debt reduction plan, for strategy development that aligns with God's purposes, for super abundant resources, for God's power working in us.
