God Will Save

For God will save Jerusalem and rebuild the towns of Judah. His people will live there and settle in their own land. The descendants of those who obey him will inherit the land, and those who love him will live there in safety. (Psalm 69:34-36 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • We claim this promise to Israel as our own. Emmanuel College will be built up and will securely settle within its own borders.
  • Pray for us, descendants of our spiritual forefathers, to obey him, and thus inherit the land as faithful stewards of all he has given us.
  • Pray for us to love God and live in safety in our own land and wherever the Spirit of God leads.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

Confident

My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises! (Psalm 57:7 NLT)

Today's praise topics:
  • We sing the praises of God today for his faithfulness in providing for Emmanuel College, and despite the challenges, our confidence in him is enduring.
  • Thankful for a wonderful evening with Dr. Charles Stanley last night at In Touch Ministries in Atlanta and for his $100,000 gift to our scholarship fund. Great crowd of alumni and friends in attendance.
  • Thanking God for using our graduates, like Phillip Bowen ('98), who is CEO of In Touch Ministries and who gave an inspiring message to all at our Commencement Ceremony last week.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

His Purpose

I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. He will send help from heaven to rescue me. (Psalm 57:2-3a NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • What a comfort to know that God intends to fulfill his purpose through me, you, and Emmanuel College, no matter the challenges we face.
  • Pray we continuously call to him in hope, never tiring of asking, always expectant.
  • Pray we recognize the help he sends and submit quickly to his path and purpose.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

Have Mercy

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by.  (Psalm 57:1 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • Our God is a God of mercy, but we must cry out to him and express our emotions and utter dependency on him.
  • Pray for protection from evil that would consume us. Yes, look to him for his protection.
  • Pray for the good sense to run to him and hide in his care when danger surrounds us for it is temporary and will surely pass us by.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

Seed for the Farmer

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.    (2 Corinthians 9:10 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • Thank God for the great show of support for our new Diversified Agriculture major in last night's Founding Farmers Gala.
  • Pray for each academic concentration: Ag Business, Ag Science, and Ag Missions.
  • Pray for a great harvest in the hearts of those we will teach the principles of sowing and reaping, both in sound agriculture as well as in Christian living.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

Nothing is Lacking

It is a land of wheat and barley; of grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates; of olive oil and honey. It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking. (Deuteronomy 8:8-9a NLT)

Today's prayer topics:
  • Pray for our new Diversified Agriculture major to be productive and lack nothing.
  • Pray for swift approval of the program in the next few weeks by our accrediting agency.
  • Pray for the Founding Farmers Gala being held on campus tonight to be successful in connecting the new major with the north Georgia farming community and to generate ample donations and gifts in support of the program.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.

On Our Way

And we're on our way through [the door], following orders, doing what God commanded when he said, "I've set you up as light to all nations. You'll proclaim salvation to the four winds and seven seas." (Acts 13:47 MSG)

Today's prayer topics:
  • Our 2016 graduates are on their way, full of ability and hope for a bright future. Pray for them.
  • Pray for our graduates and students to be light and salt in the world, proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout their spheres of influence.
  • Doing what God commands - not always easy but always good. Pray for resolve to follow God's orders, stepping courageously through every door he opens.
Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.
