Desire and Success

Today's prayer topics:

• We desire to work with over 1100 students each year. Pray for God to help us grow to that level over the next few years.
• We desire to reduce our debt significantly. Pray for means and methods inspired by God to get this done.
• Preparing students to become Christlike disciples who integrate faith, learning and living for effective careers, scholarship and service is our definition of success. Please pray for us to deliver on this mission in every student.

May the Lord Answer

May the Lord answer you when you are in trouble! May the God of Jacob protect you! (Psalm 20:1 GNB)

• Pray and keep on praying for the Lord answers prayer.
• Pray for help and protection in times of trouble, and pray in joy in times of peace.
• Pray for God's protection for Emmanuel College in a world moving dramatically away from God's purposes, and pray for us to be empowered, shining his light of truth.

Healthy and Growing

Today's prayer topics:

• Emmanuel College is an organism with so many moving parts fitting well together. Pray for maximum mutual growth among its many parts in the upcoming academic year.
• While we are much healthier than we were, we have not achieved full recovery. Pray that the 2016-17 school year will be miraculous in healing and total health.
• Thank God for those who have ministered through EC Serve this summer, and pray for many more students to step forward to serve in the coming year.

Glorious in Power

• Satanic strongholds are behind the moral decay in our nation, especially the attack on Christian higher education. Pray for the glorious power of God to be unleashed upon the enemy.
• Ask God to break these strongholds and change the course of events which threatens the faith-based operations of every Christian college and university in America.
• Pray for the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities and other Christian and legal groups that are fighting to protect our right to practice our faith in the higher education context.

• On this Lord's day, God's people gather with instruments of praise - the pipe organ, the electric guitar, the human voice - and offer praise to him today.
• O Lord, we worship you in awe and wonder, singing and making music as an offering of praise.

• Pray for wisdom for the staff and faculty of Emmanuel College in our decision-making and planning for the fall semester. May satisfaction and fulfillment follow.
• Pray for all potential students who are still thinking about enrolling this fall but have not yet committed. May they find delight and joy in their choices as they let wisdom guide them into God's plan for their lives.
• Pray for the mission to Uganda as they finish up their work and travel home soon. May they have the satisfaction of a job well done.
