Lord, Come Down

On Wednesdays, please pray for EC Serve, especially our mission trips in 2019 to Alaska, Appalachia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Myanmar, and Panama. Also, pray for the group going to coastal South Carolina this spring to help with hurricane recovery efforts.

Be My Witnesses

"And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8b NLT)

Today's meditation: We have the privilege to minster and serve people everywhere - on our campus, in the community, throughout the Southeast and the nation, and even to other countries.

Pray today for our outreach teams to be strong and successful in telling people about Jesus - the Emmanuel Singers, the Emmanuel Players, and Revive Dance Team. Pray over their spring and summer schedules.

On Tuesdays, please pray for our employees. Pray for them to have spiritual insight, ability, expertise, and success with our students.

Wait Patiently

Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. (Psalms 27:14 NLT)

Today's meditation: How interesting that "wait patiently" is paired with "brave and courageous."

Pray today for the many ideas and plans we have for the future, for us to know when to advance and when to wait, and while we wait, to pray for strength and courage to trust in the Lord and in his timing.

Today's meditation: Nothing holds us more powerfully than love.

Pray today for love to permeate our people and our work - love for each other, love for the lost, love for our students, love for the hurting, and love for our God who reveals his love for us through his faithful protection and abiding presence.

Power

Skill for Battle

Today's meditation: It is the Lord who prepares and leads us in the Christian higher education community to face our many adversaries and prevail.

Pray today for Emmanuel College to overcome the challenges that come our way, for us to receive resources to advance the cause, for those in government to pass laws that do not inhibit our mission, for innovation and creativity to meet the demands of our changing world.
