Listen

He said, "Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don't be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God's." (2 Chronicles 20:15 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:

• God speaks, but how well do we listen? Much of our worry would disappear if we but listened to his confident voice saying, "The battle is not yours, but mine. This is easy for me."
• Pray for perspective to help us relinquish the battles into God's capable hands where it belongs.
• Pray for listening skills to hear the Lord speaking through his Word, through others' words, through wise ones, faith-full ones, and even from the mouths of children.

Answered prayers:

• We prayed for favor and almost every day I see the answer to that prayer. This week, for example, there was great favor, even partnership, from those who had no reason to do so and every reason to be contrary. Pray on.

Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.
