Spirit of the Lord

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 11:1-2 KJV)

• We praise God for his marvelous plan that brought Jesus to Bethlehem, but more than that, we rejoice that he is with us today and that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon us.

Today's prayer topics:

• Pray for the Holy Spirit to invade our thoughts with wisdom and understanding.
• Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide our actions and to move with might before us.
• Pray for the Holy Spirit to input his knowledge into us even as he inspires us to love and fear the Lord with all our hearts.
