In the Power of God

And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Our talents are important and God-given, but what's more important is submitting them to the authority of the Holy Spirit, going where he leads and using them at his command.

Pray today:

• For the College's Office of Advancement, for the fundraising plan, for the personnel who implement the plan, for our commitment to rely upon the Holy Spirit.
• For our ability to communicate the needs of the College, for our messages to be clear, for our messengers to be inspired and led by the Holy Spirit.
• For many to hear the messages about need and opportunity, for people who have never heard our message to hear it now, for people to be moved by the Holy Spirit and to respond in obedience in their praying and in their giving.

Pray First in every circumstance, challenge, and choice. Always Pray First!
