The Lord Says

"I am the Lord, your Holy God. I created you, Israel, and I am your king." Long ago the Lord made a road through the sea, a path through the swirling waters. But the Lord says, "Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago."  (Isaiah 43:15, 16, 18 GNB)

Today's meditation:

• Although we are to be quick to give thanks for God's deliverance and to always be grateful, we must be careful to never allow our remembrances of God's move in the past to eclipse what the Lord is doing in our midst now. 

Pray today:

• For us to frame the blessings of the past in the context of God's abiding presence and power to do even greater things in the present and the future.
• For memorials of the past to serve as motivation for the present - to never be satisfied with what has been when there is so much yet to do. 

Our prayers make a difference in our outcomes. Please continue to pray over the list below that focuses on key needs at Emmanuel College.

PRAY FOR THE TOP THREE NEEDS OF EMMANUEL COLLEGE

• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2018.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.
• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.

PRAY FOR OUR SUPPORTERS

• To supply resources, both financial and otherwise, that create a bright future for the College.

PRAY FOR THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

• To be guided by the Holy Spirit with gifts of wisdom, knowledge and discernment.

PRAY FOR IMPORTANT UPCOMING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

• EC Mission on campus this week, July 15-21.
• Senior Management Team Advance, July 16-17
• Recruiting at Youth Quest, July 19-22.
• Recruiting events and opportunities for the remainder of this summer. 
• Alpha Weekend, opening the new school year with spiritual emphasis, August 9-12.
