Have Mercy

I seek your favor with all my heart. Have mercy on me as you promised! (Psalm 119:58 NET)

Today's meditation:
  • God's favor and his mercy. Oh, how much we need them! For we are fallible, he is not. In our weakness, he supplies strength. In our sin, he offers forgiveness. His favor and mercy change everything.
Pray today:
  • For our students who begin exams today, for them to be diligent in preparation and utilize time wisely during the exam period that ends next Tuesday, for them to have good recall and confidence in what they have learned, for those who are weak to find strength, for those who should have worked harder to learn their lesson and to develop a better work ethic in future semesters.
Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:
  • To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
  • To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
  • To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.
Pray for upcoming events and activities:.
  • General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
  • Spring Semester enrollment in January 2019 to exceed expectations because of better retention, larger numbers of new students, and a total enrollment of 900 or more.
  • EC Serve trips for 2019 in the planning stages to Alaska, Appalachia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Myanmar, and Panama.
  • For special projects to begin in 2019 to construct and remodel facilities debt-free including improvements to Wellons Residence Hall, constructing the Collins agricultural teaching/lab building, securing lead gifts to expand the dining hall and improve academic facilities, and for wisdom in fundraising, planning and implementation.
Pray First! Pray Through!
