We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and
trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops
strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of
salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how
dearly God loves us, because he has given his Holy Spirit to fill our hearts
with his love. (Romans 5:3-5 NLT)
Today’s prayer topics:
- Pray for God’s perspective to show us how to use our
problems to build hope instead of yielding to despair.
- Pray that we see through our challenges all the way to
God’s love that tenderly sustains us and does not disappoint.
- Pray for strength of character that enables us to
rejoice, to persevere, to hope and to love even though our difficult
circumstances have not changed.
