Today's meditation:
- Threats, whether real or imagined, tend to stimulate fear which, in turn, inhibits action and disrupts joy, but the Christ follower can stay close enough to the Savior in every circumstance to hear him whisper, "Fear not!"
Pray today:
- For safety and security of Emmanuel College, for nothing to be allowed to disrupt its mission, its focus, its purpose - not fear, not threats, not pressures of any kind.
- For unity and solidarity to oppose the principalities and powers aligned with evil, for faith to overcome failure, for courage no matter how costly.
- For tranquil and measured responses to every encounter whether fear-inducing or merely frustrating, for kind words to oppose threatening ones, for noble actions to resist unprincipled behavior, for hope to permeate the darkest days, breaking through the clouds like rays of sunshine.
