Repent

John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His message was, "Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." (Matthew 3:1-2 NLT)

Today's meditation: Repent of sin and turn to God is still the key theme of Gospel preaching because nothing much can happen until people yield to God.

Pray today for the unsaved among us, for many of them to turn to God this week during New Beginnings, for them to turn away from attitudes, thoughts, and actions that are sinful, for them to turn to Jesus who offers them new life.

Please pray everyday for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• For clear vision of God's mission in 2019 and beyond.
• For growing enrollments and for more than 1000 students next fall.
• For the College to become debt-free.

On Tuesdays, please pray for our employees. Pray for them to have spiritual insight, ability, expertise, and success with our students.
