Comforted

But Abraham said to him, "Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, but Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. (Luke 16:25 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Jesus' culture is selfless and characterized by helping the less fortunate, who know they are needy, unlike many Americans who have so much that it distracts them from seeing how needy they really are.

Pray today:

• For the EC Serve mission trip to Costa Rica on May 8-16, for the co-leaders of this trip, Coach T.J. Rosene and his wife Erin and Coach Graham Maxwell and his wife Ginni.
• For the 19 people including students who will serve with them, for the work projects they will complete, for the visits and ministry opportunities in schools,churches,and orphanages, for the sports camps they will lead.
• For abundant support and resources for all aspects of this mission, for the people who will be served to be comforted and strengthened.
