Arise in Prayer - Day 19 of 21
They are to stand every morning to thank and praise our God, and likewise at evening. (1 Chronicles 23:30 AMP)
Much has been said about morning prayers, but let's not miss the opportunities of the evening. Maybe at dinner recount some good thing that happened that day and give thanks. Or if the day was less than stellar, remember some past blessing and offer praise. After dinner, children scatter to do homework or play games. TVs are tuned to favorite shows or sports. Why not carve out 15 minutes to pray the scriptures or count your blessings or go on a prayer walk? Preparing for bedtime offers choice moments for prayer and praise. Prayers with children. Prayers with spouse. Intimate prayers and praise in the darkness as sleep comes. Yes, pray in the evening, too.
Pray for the successful continuation of this semester without interruption.
Pray every Friday for our faculty, staff, and senior leadership team.
Pray daily for the few among our students and employees who have the corona virus. Pray for their healing and comfort. Pray for our COVID-19 Response Team that cares for students in quarantine and isolation. Pray for the eradication of this virus.
