Arise in Prayer - Day 13 of 21
One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. (Luke 6:12 NIV)
Praying all night would be difficult for anyone, but praying through the night is an entirely different matter. Anyone can do it. Start by praying yourself to sleep. As you lie upon your bed waiting for sleep to come, pray for others by name. If you awaken in the night (for some of us it's when we wake up in the night), pick up where you left off or begin praying about the new day ahead. If worries are waking you up, pray about what worries you. And when morning comes, before you place your foot on the floor, pray the Lord's Prayer or Psalm 23 or just a few words of praise from the depths of your heart.
Pray for more of our students to be called to full-time Christian ministry. Pray for responsive hearts and minds to the call of Jesus Christ to a life of service.
Pray every Saturday for the preservation of religious freedoms throughout our nation. Pray that no law, regulation, or court case will impede Christian colleges and universities from maintaining scriptural standards.
Pray daily for the few among our students and employees who have the corona virus. Pray for their healing and comfort. Pray for the eradication of this virus.
