Arise in Prayer - Day 15 of 21
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up. (Psalm 5:3 NKJV)
Two thoughts: (1) The Psalmist speaks to God each morning, and (2) he begins his day by looking up. Both are good advice for us. Your morning audience with the Lord could start with praise and thanksgiving, then move into worship, and then turn to petition for what you need that day. It doesn't necessarily take a lot of time, but it does take commitment. As for looking up, it is a positive posture that will help anyone face the world. But if our looking up signals our faith in God as our helper and guide, we face life's difficulties and challenges with confidence and hope. What a way to begin a day!
Pray for healing across our nation. Pray for reconciliation and forgiveness. Pray for peace. Pray that we are one nation under God.
Pray every Monday for our students to follow the Lord in their career choices and to permeate their lives with acts of Christian service.
Pray daily for the few among our students and employees who have the corona virus. Pray for their healing and comfort. Pray for our COVID-19 Response Team that cares for students in quarantine and isolation. Pray for the eradication of this virus.
