Eager to Serve

And now a word to you elders in the churches. . .Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly - not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. (1 Peter 5:1a-2 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Eagerness to serve God should characterize all Christians, especially those who are assigned authority and have responsibility for any segment of Christ's church here on earth.

Pray today:

• For the Emmanuel College Board of Trustees who provide spiritual and financial oversight, who give willingly of their time and talents to support and advance the mission of the College.
• For the officers of the Board and the committee chairpersons to have special insight and discernment in leading, advising, and decision-making.
• For the Board and the leadership team of the College to continue to support and challenge one another to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, finding the best solutions and clear pathways forward.
