An Open Door

I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me. (Revelation 3:8 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:

• Thank God for the official opening of the fall semester today with the first day of classes.
• Pray against the enemies of God who have tried to shut our doors, and though powerful, have failed. God is good!
• In the face of future opposition, pray we continue to obey the Lord and move forward in his strength and provision.
• Week 18 in the campaign FOR EMMANUEL. Despite our weakness, God has provided the necessary resources and opened the door to another academic year that no one can close.

Answered prayer:

Over each of the next 10 days, I will recount an answer to prayer during the past twelve months that has led to a successful opening of fall semester:

• He sent three prophetic words to me through three different alumni in the first six weeks of my presidency: "We will not fail," "Your enemy has failed," and "The sword of the Lord is drawn and he has cut the chain that binds us."
