Then these righteous ones will reply, "Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give your something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?" And the King will say, "I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!" (Matthew 25:37-40 NLT)
Today's prayer topics:
- Pray for a passion for service to overwhelm us at Emmanuel that compels us to help the lost, the needy, and the disenfranchised.
- Pray for God to send us a person, perhaps a retiree with organizational skills and experience, who can coordinate our various streams of service projects.
- Week 24 in Phase 3 of the campaign FOR EMMANUEL. Pray for resources to flow to our points of need, especially to underwrite service initiatives at home and abroad.
Never give up unless it's praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.
