Peace

"Peace be with you, " he [Jesus] said. "Why are you frightened?" he asked. "Why are your hearts filled with doubt?" Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder.  (Luke 24:36, 38, & 41 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:

• Why are we frightened when Jesus is speaking peace to us? Pray we live in his peace, not in our doubts. O God, snuff out our disbelief and invade our space with your peace.
• Disbelief, wonder and joy - all at once. It's the stuff of miracles. Pray for more of them.
• Pray for students, staff, and faculty who are fearful to focus on Jesus who offers peace and causes faith to rise.

Give thanks for God's generous care and for his answers to our prayers:

• Thanks be to God for the miracles of generosity, whether it's a fortune given or a few fish and some bread.

As the praises go up, the power comes down.
