Close to God

But I am close to God, and that is good. The Lord God is my protection. I will tell all that you have done. (Psalm 73:28 NCV)

Today's prayer topics:

• Pray we realize that staying close to God is harder than you think, easy to neglect, but solved by following him and not the other way around.  
• Pray for new students who are in orientation this weekend to feel right at home and to find their places in the Emmanuel family.
• Week 17 in the campaign FOR EMMANUEL. Pray for God's continued protection over us and for his favor in our dealings with others.

Answered prayer:

• We prayed for our students last spring who were serving in internships this summer. One returned yesterday and the reports from his supervisors in the field were stellar. Thank God for the next generation of leaders being prepared at Emmanuel.

Never give up unless it's praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.
