Lessons Learned

The Lord has taught me a hard lesson, but he did not let me die. Open for me the Temple gates. Then I will come in and thank the Lord. (Psalm 118:18-19 NCV)

Today's prayer topics:

• Pray we learn well what God is teaching us, especially lessons about faith and work and about human capacity and Divine support.
• Pray for the opening Alpha service today at 11:00 a.m. Eastern where the focus will be on what we believe and the importance of accepting Christ. And pray for those who decide for Christ.
• Week 18 in the campaign FOR EMMANUEL. Thank the Lord for our faithful donors who support us through good times and bad, and for their many prayers.

Answered prayer:

Continuing on each of the next 6 days, I will recount an answer to prayer during the past twelve months that has led to a successful opening of fall semester:

• He has brought individuals, churches, conferences and organizations that have given money and have provided financial collateral to support us in the right amounts and at the right time. He has opened doors and introduced us to people and organizations who have helped us and may help us more.
