Mighty Rock

Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side - leaders whose decrees permit injustice? They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide.  (Psalm 94:20-22 NLT)

Today's prayer topics:

• Pray for our nation today on election day for evil to fail and for righteousness and common sense to prevail.
• Pray for healing from this ugly and discouraging election cycle when many leaders claiming to speak for justice have condemned the innocent and exalted the wicked.
• Pray for righteous people to be elected, and where they are not, pray for evil leaders to repent and be saved.

Give thanks for God's generous care and for his answers to our prayers:

• We praise God and give thanks because our hope is not in elections and governments but in the Lord our God who is our peace and our passion. 

As the praises go up, the power comes down.
