Resist the Devil

And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:6-7 NLT)

• Pray for us to resist the devil and to reject any temptation to take credit for the miraculous work God is doing at Emmanuel College.
• At times, we are tempted to give in to our fears, but pray we resist the devil, humbling ourselves before God who puts our enemy to flight.
• We are sometimes tempted to give up, but pray we resist the devil, submitting ourselves to God who is merciful and who knows the way forward.

Never give up unless its praise we give up to God; never give in except to give in to him.
