Encourage One Another

Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer. (Hebrews 10:25 GNB)

Today's meditation:

• Encouraging one another and building each other up works better when we are together, whether in large groups or small, with handshakes and hugs, when together in worship and prayer, whether sharing or listening to each other - together is better than not.

Pray today:

• For the enhancement of current initiatives to be more effective in the spiritual development of our students, for chapel services on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings, for the School of Christian Ministries chapel on Thursdays, for The Vine small group ministry, for the Emmanuel Leadership Initiative.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• Chapel services each Tuesday at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
