Pray

With the crowd dispersed, he climbed the mountain so he could be by himself and pray. He stayed there alone, late into the night. (Matthew 14:23 MSG)

Day 1 of 12 days of prayer and fasting. Join us in prayer over the first twelve days of August for the start of a new school year at Emmanuel College. If you are able, fast a day or a few meals or a specific food. Thank you for your prayers.

• The best start to any new season of endeavor, whether school, business, ministry or service, is prayer.

Pray today:

• For a Spirit-inspired start to the new school year, for the new students who move into the residence halls tomorrow, for not one of them to be missing, for each to find his or her place, taking advantage of every opportunity for growth and development, especially to know Christ and to walk in his calling.
• For staff and faculty to be ready for the opportunities and challenges before us, for final preparations to be completed. 

Our prayers make a difference in our outcomes. Please continue to pray over the list below that focuses on key needs at Emmanuel College.

PRAY FOR THE TOP THREE NEEDS OF EMMANUEL COLLEGE

• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2018.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.
• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.

PRAY FOR OUR SUPPORTERS

• To supply resources, both financial and otherwise, that create a bright future for the College.

PRAY FOR THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

• To be guided by the Holy Spirit with gifts of wisdom, knowledge and discernment.

PRAY FOR IMPORTANT UPCOMING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

• Recruiting events and opportunities for the remainder of this summer. 
• New student move-in day, August 2.
• New student orientation, August 3-4.
• First week of classes beginning August 6.
• Alpha Weekend, opening the new school year with spiritual emphasis, August 9-12.
