Fortress

The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. (Psalm 37:39 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Fortresses only work if you stay within their protective boundaries. May we always stay within God's wisdom and will for our lives.

Pray today:

• For this new school year to be free of trouble, but if it comes, for us to shelter in the fortress who is our God, for us to rely on his direction, provision and rescue.
• For balanced budgets, for abundant resources, for clear direction, for great vision.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• Chapel services each Tuesday at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
