I Sing

Turn and answer me, O Lord my God . . . Don't let my enemies gloat, saying, "We have defeated him!" Don't let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. (Psalm 13:3-6 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• No matter the human emotion, God knows what we need and he knows when we need it, and so we ask, and with trust in him, we wait for his answer.

Pray today:

• For patience in the waiting, for calm assurance, for correct perceptions and clear vision, for bold faith that continues to move mountains.
• For rejoicing and singing flowing from our hearts because God is good to us.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
