Prosperity

Greed causes fighting; trusting the Lord leads to prosperity. (Proverbs 28:25 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• The greedy person, whether hungry for power, fame or money, trusts something other than God. 

Pray today:

• For humility of heart and gentleness in spirit as we pursue God's best for Emmanuel College, for trust in God to displace thoughts, emotions, and motives unlike him, for prosperity to come from the Lord as we entrust our plans, decisions, and actions to him.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
