Really Love

Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. (Romans 12:9 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Hate is a strong word. Love is even stronger. Hating the evil that enslaves people is good. Loving people as Jesus loves them is even better and can set them free.

Pray today:

• For the loving kindness of Jesus' followers to overwhelm evil wherever we go, for the cleansing flow of Jesus' blood to set the captives free, especially among our students, for life in the Holy Spirit to captivate this generation with the love and beauty of Christ.
• For the many ways we have the opportunity to really love the younger generations: EC Serve, chapel services, EC Singers and Players, Conquest and Revive outreach ministries, counseling services, small groups through The Vine, Cafe Lavie, residence life staff, coaching staff, EC Bridge, Nash Prayer and Ministry Center, formal and informal mentoring through staff and faculty, and many more. 

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
