Today's meditation:
- When trouble comes, it's hard to explain and even harder to live through, but turning to God strengthens resolve to persevere and overcome.
- For all who are suffering loss and devastation in the wake of hurricane Florence, especially those in flooded areas who need food, water, and shelter, for government and disaster relief agencies to provide services where help is needed, for the flood waters to recede quickly, for power to be restored.
- For those of the Emmanuel family in the stricken areas to find refuge and strength in the Lord, for them to be protected and to be in good health, for their needs to be met.
- To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
- To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
- To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

- General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
- Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
- Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
- Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
- Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
