Plans

What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that." Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil. (James 4:15-16 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Planning is important to any enterprise, but if the plans do not align with his purpose and will, we will be wasting our time and resources. To discover God's will, pray first and keep on praying. 

Pray today:

• For our student recruiting plans to be effective in reaching students who need what God has to offer them at Emmanuel College, for enrollment next semester to exceed expectations, for God's favor upon us as we pray and work to recruit the Centennial class for the fall semester in 2019. 

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
