Awesome Miracles

What other nation, O God, have you redeemed from slavery to be your own people? You performed awesome miracles and drove out the nations and gods that stood in their way. You made Israel your very own people forever, and you, O Lord, became their God. (2 Samuel 7:23 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• From being the God of a single nation to becoming the Sovereign Lord of his glorious church that has no border or limits, we rejoice in God's salvation. We exult in being a nation of believers worldwide who are his people, who are called by his name, who serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

REJOICE today and give THANKS:

• For God's marvelous deliverance of Emmanuel College, for awesome miracles and remarkable provision, for renewed purpose and expansive vision.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
• EC Serve trips for 2019 in the planning stages to Alaska, Appalachia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Myanmar, and Panama.
