Faith in Him

Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world. (Romans 1:8 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• We don't usually relish the idea of people talking about us unless it's about what God has done through us so that he is honored and his work advanced.

Pray today:

• For the work that has been done in us at Emmanuel College through faith in Jesus to be talked about, to spread by word-of-mouth, to be like seed planted in fertile hearts that sprout, grow, and bear fruit.
• For the work we do at Emmanuel College, like teaching, mentoring, and serving, to be talked about in many places such that it draws more students to enroll and more supporters to provide resources for our ministry.   

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
• EC Serve trips for 2019 in the planning stages to Alaska, Appalachia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Myanmar, and Panama.
