Your Light

Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. (Isaiah 58:10 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• When we serve, the light of the Gospel shines brighter through us. The more we serve, the more darkness is dispelled. 

Pray today:

• For the EC Serve mission trips being planned for next year, for leaders and volunteers to step forward to field each trip, for abundant resources to be available to finance each trip, for the people who will receive these ministries.
• For the light that shines through EC Serve to be a tracking beam that draws hundreds of students to our campus each year for service and for learning.
• For the following EC Serve trips being planned: Alaska, Appalachia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Myanmar, and Panama.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
