Determined

Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. (Isaiah 50:7 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Although it is an admirable trait when a 4-year old wants to do a task all by herself, sometimes a little help makes the outcome much better. May we do our part and make every effort to grow and improve, but may we also know when to yield and allow God to help us.

Pray today:

• For the people of Emmanuel College to be determined to know and do God's will in every aspect of our mission and vision, for us to be wise, strong, and courageous, for us to be innovative and nimble, for us to be wary of the traps of the enemy and to defeat him on every occasion, for us to see the possibilities before us and to seize them.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
