This Ministry of Giving

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving - the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. (2 Corinthians 9:12 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• Although we don't usually think of it this way, giving is a ministry to which all believers are called.

Pray today:

• For the Vision 4 Education offering and celebration this Friday at Emmanuel, for the ladies of the Women's Ministries who work and sacrifice to make this offering possible, for unexpected gifts to expand this offering so that it meets more needs, for a joyful celebration of thanksgiving to God for his provision.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
