Faithful People

He protects the lives of his faithful people, but the wicked disappear in darkness; a man does not triumph by his own strength. (1 Samuel 2:9 GNB)

Today's meditation:

• It's important to be faithful and use one's strength well, but it's not the human spirit that helps us prevail. It's the Holy Spirit.

Pray today:

• For the people of Emmanuel College to be strong and to be faithful to God and his Church, for us to hone our talents and skills to serve the Lord better, for us to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to stand against the spirit of this age and against wickedness wherever we confront it, for Emmanuel College to be a leader in pointing the way to God.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Vision 4 Education Celebration sponsored by Women's Ministries, October 5.
• Board of Trustees Meeting, October 5-6.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
