Morning by Morning

The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. (Isaiah 50:4 NLT)

Today's meditation:

• We like the instantaneous and the sensational, but life with God is more of a day by day trek into his wisdom and will, that is, if we are following closely.

Pray today:

• For me as president, for the Emmanuel College leadership team, and for faculty and staff to understand God's words of wisdom, to encourage and comfort each other, to challenge and motivate one another, to work together and with great energy to accomplish his will.
• For the people of Emmanuel College to move faithfully and persistently into God's will as he reveals it to us.

Pray for the top three needs of Emmanuel College:

• To hear the Word of the Lord regarding life after debt and our vision for an expanded mission for 2018 and beyond.
• To enroll more than 1000 students in August 2019.
• To continue reducing our debt over the next five years with the purpose of becoming debt-free.

Pray for upcoming events and activities:.

• General chapel services on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and School of Christian Ministries chapel services on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
• Homecoming Weekend, October 19-21.
• Fall Preview recruiting event, November 2-4.
